REVIEW & TEST · FILAMENT STORAGE

SUNLU FilaDC i10:
a cabinet, not a dryer.

I test the ten-spool humidity-controlled cabinet over several weeks and work out where it belongs in a filament-heavy workshop.

THE QUESTION

Do a lot of open spools need a different kind of storage?

The FilaDC i10 holds up to ten 1 kg spools in a humidity-controlled cabinet. It is designed to manage storage humidity; it does not heat the whole chamber like a conventional filament dryer.

WHAT I TESTED

Humidity, workflow, power and noise.

I follow the setup and real-world humidity readings, explain the molecular-sieve system and its regeneration cycle, and check the stated power use and fan noise. The review also compares the cabinet’s role with that of a dryer.

MY TAKEAWAY

Useful storage for a growing filament collection.

The i10 may suit a workshop with several printers, a tool changer or many open spools. For wet filament that needs to be dried, use a heated dryer first; the cabinet is for keeping a larger collection organised and in controlled storage. If you have only a couple of PLA rolls, a sealed box and desiccant may be simpler.
